never what?

Never stew.
That’s the motto that I live my life by and it serves me fairly well.

It’s about being at the edge of your comfort zone as much as possible. I’ve seen this advocated for in many different ways, though I won’t list them all here. neverstew is simply my version of the same thing.

Who am I?

I’m Matt. I’ve twice been called wise, to my face, and I’m pretty good at turning ideas into reality. I mostly just follow my mind as it takes me on a never-ending mission of understanding. It seems to like:

• communication: verbal, written, audible, visual…
• design (in all shapes and sizes)
• making hard things simple
• science
• the internet
• people’s minds and how weird they are
• alternative forms of organisation

and a lot of other stuff that would take a long time to list… I’m mostly just going along with it.

What have I done?

I’ve worked in a whole load of different environments. At different times I’ve been paid to be:

• a teacher
• a waiter
• a physicist
• a product owner
• a musician
• a test engineer
• a data processing specialist
• a software engineer
• a technical writer

It’s a varied list but it all adds up to a unique approach to life.

What am I doing now?

I’m exploring the world with my wife. We’re having a blast.
