never what?
That’s the motto that I live my life by and it serves me fairly well.
Was it made up after years of university hangovers? Yes.
Was it just a thing I’d say to get people out of bed the next day? Yes.
Was it actually applicable to much more in life? Yes!
I’ve since learnt that it’s really more about being at the edge of your comfort zone as much as possible. I’ve seen this advocated for in many different ways, though I won’t list them all here. neverstew is simply my version of the same thing.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Matt. I mostly just follow my mind as it takes me on a never-ending mission of understanding. It seems to like:
- the internet
- design (in all shapes and sizes)
- science
- making hard things simple
- people’s minds and how weird they are
- verbal and written communication
and a bunch of other stuff that would take a long time to list… I’m mostly just going along with it.
What have I done?
I’ve worked in a load of different environments. At different times I’ve been:
- a teacher
- a waiter
- a physicist
- a product owner
- a musician
- a test engineer
- a data processing specialist
- a software engineer
- a technical writer
It’s a varied list but it all adds up to a unique approach to life.
What am I doing now?
I’m exploring the world with my wife. We’re having a blast.
